Our daughter successfully underwent a complex pancreatomy and splenctomy surgery under Dr Wagle and team. Dr and team are very clear in their approach. The team did a detailed study of the images, CT scans leading to very accurate diagnosis. Then very meticulously planned the surgery (pre, during and post) and treatment. The team performed the difficult and complicated surgery with utmost care and precision, most importantly have saved as much part of the pancreas as is possible. We are indebted to both Dr Wagle and Dr Gunjan Desai. Since the start they had accurately diagnosed the SPEN and their approach was clear. They clearly informed us about the Dos and Don’ts. No mincing of words, though the words hit us hard. There were no symptoms, so we weren’t prepared for what came our way. The CT scan was studied thoroughly along with the radiologists and strategy planned for the operation. On day one itself we were advised against endoscopy and PET scan for our case, testimony to the mastery of the subject. It was a major operation. My daughter is just 22-year-old. I was operated on Sep 2017 by Dr.Wagle for chronic pancreatitis. Dr.Wagle is an extremely competent and knowledgable surgeon and he performed this extremely complicated surgery skillfully. Post op care by him and his assistant Dr.Namita was excellent too. Highly recommended.

Visited Dr Prasad K Wagle for treating my mother on Nov 2017 for Pancreas Cancer treatment at Lilavati Hospital. Suggested Biopsy and Stenting at Global Hospitals under Dr Amit Maydeo, they failed to put a Metal Stent, later put Plastic Stent for bypassing liver juices to reduce Bilurubin. On being confirmed Cancer being Malignant during Biopsy, Dr Prasad K Wagle suggested to visit Dr Mohan Menon at Lilavati Hospital for Chemotherapy, and my mother was able to take only one Chemotherapy and later died due to side effects of Chemotherapy. Felt lack of coordination between the Doctors, lack of sincereness and 'never stand up to own the responsibility to treat the patient' and little rude with the patient parties. Request all patient parties to avoid such Doctors and private hospitals(Lilavati and Global Hospitals) for Cancer treatment. Charged twelve lakhs during the treatment of one month. When my mother went to Dr Prasad K Wagle, she was fit enough to walk alone with having pain in abdomen mostly during night. In one month, she died. Doctor said, it was advanced pancreatic cancer but localized, i.e., didn't spread. My mother had COPD, though we have mentioned repeatedly before Chemotherapy, that she had COPD, they said no issues. Requesting all patient parties to verify with multiple Doctors if COPD patients will tolerate Chemotherapy or not. If not, let the doctors suggest some other alternatives.

Very accomplished liver surgeon. Gives lot of time to patients and very compassionate. Always available. Recommend him strongly.
